I hold a PhD in Education from the University of Hong Kong and am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Education University of Hong Kong, where I also serve as a Visiting Researcher.

My research lies at the intersection of technology and language education. My primary research interests include: (1) technology-enhanced second and foreign language learning; (2) informal and out-of-class language learning through digital and social media; (3) teacher education and professional development; and (4) instructional design for culturally and linguistically diverse learners.

Alongside my research, I have accumulated nearly nine years of teaching experience across higher education, K–12, and online learning contexts. I have taught Chinese as a second language, Chinese for specific purposes, and related language courses to learners from diverse cultural, age, and proficiency backgrounds, including students at the University of Pennsylvania and Tianjin University.

My interest in language learning is also personal. Through informal learning and social media, I have learned a great deal from other languages, cultures, and communities beyond formal classrooms. These experiences continue to shape the questions I ask as a researcher and inspire me to explore how people learn languages through everyday interactions, digital platforms, and meaningful connections with others.

More broadly, I am interested in understanding how emerging technologies, digital platforms, and innovative pedagogies can support language learning, teacher development, and more inclusive educational experiences. I also hope to continue exploring languages and learning from people and communities around the world.
